Alice Babalola

I'm an Advocate for Possibilities, energetic, ambitious, an enthusiastic woman, I'm in many facets, you get to choose what part of me you want to explore. Sometimes I come across as a Project Manager, other times as a Teen Coach, Counselor, Mentor, Child Leader Advocate, or Youth Advocate. I also double as a Social Entrepreneur and Humanitarian with keen interest in Sustainable Development Goals 1, 2 & 4. At other times I function as a Public Speaker, Facilitator, Host, Fellow & Delegate, News Writer, OAP and Vlogger. As a hobby, I developed interest in cooking that made me come across as a CEO for a food business.

ABOUT

Interestingly, I'm a fun-loving individual, a graduate of Broadcast Journalism, an Award Winner, a Wife, Daughter, Sister, Cousin, Niece, and a Staunch Believer of God. Christianity is my heritage and pride. I live by the principles and standard of the Bible and I believe God as called me for a Purpose to help "YOUNG PEOPLE" which I'm on the mission to fulfilling it.

I come across also as a very strong-willed lady but I've fears too, you can say that these fears are some of my driving forces. My greatest fear is Irresponsibility, I dread a person who does not take responsibilities. My most valuable asset is "RESPONSIBILITY". Other values include; giving and helping other, honesty, boldness, freedom, trust, team spirit.

As a Project Manager with 3 years of experience, I’m driven by passion; to question, to create, to understand how things work, and to realize the reason why. I lead by example, supporting team members, advocating for my clients, not just understanding project, business goals and objectives, but asking why those are the goals/objectives to really understand the problem and to offer the best possible solutions.

Coaching and Counselling

For more than 6 years as a Teen Coach and Counselor, I have help young people find answers to their 5Ws & H (What, Why, Where, Who, When, and How) questions, identifying their purpose for existence and achieving their life’s goals. I work with schools, parents, Teachers to create an enabling safing environment for teenagers

In the last 6 years, I have spoken in over 10 major events whereas both the host and audience always have positive feedbacks to share after every speech. PROJECTS

MAKE A MOVE INITIATIVE

As a Project Manager at MAMI I initiate the project idea, develop plans to get the project running, assign team members to different roles, coordinate the project and manage the project execution.
For the past 5years in this role, I have organize and manage the yearly conference and more that 20 school projects, where I coordinate 10 team members and several volunteers to execute these project.
I have trekked through technical issues, brainstormed with strategy, conduct research, fesibility study, troubleshot with teammates, project proposal, budget formation, grant research and writing, policy implementation and created new processes and protocols that have helped increase efficiency and accuracy for the organization.

ORNAMENTS OF GRACE AND VIRTUE

In my role as a Project Program Manager at OGAV I was involved in budget formation, planning and organizing programs for the organization, as well as hiring and training volunteers and staff for various positions within the organization. During my one year work at OGAV, I manage a co-curricular project in 7 schools with 560 girls as direct beneficiary where I coordinate activities of volunteers, allocate resources and supplies to ensure volunteers complete their responsibilities. Working with a team of 5 persons we teach and facilitate training for girls in secondary schools and also develop reports on ongoing programs that was submitted to the management while coordinating daily schedules.
In my Last few months, I coordinated and managed an annual summer camp with other team members. A project tagged Menstrual Poverty Hygiene for 1000 girls in Education District 1 at the Government Girls College, during the event I coordinated the planning, process, secured event location, connect with speakers/facilitators/vendors, worked with the 18 schools counselor to get the students present at the event. At the end of the event, I prepared reports for each of the stakeholders; media, Education District, management and Lagos State Ministry of Education. Evaluation and analysis of the project was also implemented.

ATBINSPIRES

This is a project I initiated, manage and execute to help young ones in their lives journey. I developed a program tagged "LOVE CAN WAIT", where I teach teenagers how best to manage the subject of love, emotions and sexual drive as a means to reduce the rate of emotional breakdown, unwanted pregnancy, depression, and so on. In 2022, I also developed a program tagged, "WHAT NEXT AFTER SECONDARY SCHOOL". This project is aimed at helping SSS 3 Students graduating out of secondary school understand what lies ahead of them and what opportunities and chances they need to look out for. 110 students have so far benefited from program.

DEAN INITIATIVE

I co-managed a project on the campaign of community sensitization of PVC registration and voting. In this role, I worked alongside other PM in Abuja to execute this project in Lagos State specifically within 4 local government with 40 Community Voters Activators (CVAs). I Coordinated and supervised the activities of CVAs at various location during the DJ cruise campaign to sensitize the community on PVC registration and voting. Securing meeting venue, budget formation, report writing, campaign ground, DJ and other vendors for the project were part of the activities carried out by me to ensure a successful completion of event.
